Cocktail Hour

Royal Blue
Royal Blue Ring – I got this from Primark years ago for a quid or so, and I found it in my wardrobe recently and I put it on today. I love the deep colour of the ring itself. I had never been into rings that much but they really do perk up a look.

Closet Purge
This weekend I decided it was time to do a closet purge, which consist of me going through my closet and deciding it was time to part with clothing, shoes and purses. Because I know it’s so hard for me to part with my clothing and other items I had to come up with a plan. I decided in the next 5 weeks I would pick 3 items from 5 different categories to sell on eBay. The 5 categories include:
- Dresses
- Shoes
- Skirts
- Jeans
- Purses
Whatever I don’t sell I will give to friends, family, thrift store depending on the item. This week I picked out three dresses to part with and this is what I considered:
- Can I fit the item?
- When’s the last time I wore it?
- Do I still like it?

Shoes are an addiction for me. The way your toes can look as round as the moon in a pair of heels is not matched by other types of shoes. The following shoes I have picked scream sex appeal and high-heeled luxury for businesswomen or women who want that power business look for their downtime.

Every day when I am going to work, I have noticed that my beauty regime has changed. I have not worn foundation in a while, but instead I have put the focus on my lips. The products I use are the ones I took in the spread and they make my lips look plump which is something I love. I am a bit of maverick when it comes to looks for business + work and yes shiny lips and lipstick is not something the conservative style heads for business would suggest but if you are starting your own business or you are a consultant, try something new and go against matte! This is why I believe women in business should stand out against the conservative nature of fashion and beauty and look sparkling and bubbly.
Do you think businesswomen should be more conservative or be more unique in their beauty + fashion image? Would it be bad for business to be sultry?
